Free Wine Tasting Tours – Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards

If you’re looking for something a little different from a day at the theme parks and kids attractions, and you enjoy savouring a glass of wine (who doesn’t?) why not visit the Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards in Clermont to broaden your knowledge of the award-winning local ‘Lakeridge Reserve’ wine which is sold at the larger supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida.

Complimentary tours and wine tasting are offered seven days a week for both individuals and groups — Monday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The wine-making process is pretty fascinating and at their vast 127 acreage site, Lakeridge have a really great way of engaging and educating guests on how they grow, harvest and process, and finally bottle the wines ready for distribution.

Tours are held every 15-20 minutes and begin with a 12-minute video presentation moving on to visit the vineyards and the production areas with your personal tour guide.  Wine tasting is held at a large tasting counter with a selection of award-winning sparkling and table wines offered. In total, the tour and wine tasting session lasts about 45 minutes.

You can then go on to visit their retail area and gift store where you’ll find  the wines available, along with other unique gourmet foods, cookery books and wine accessories – wonderful local gifts for family/friends awaiting your return from your Orlando holiday!

You may want to visit when their lively Annual Harvest Festival is on – 17-19th June (admission is $2 charity donation benefitting a Hospice Foundation) where the family of all ages can have a go at stomping the grapes! Local artists and crafters will be displaying their work and there’ll be live music, a variety of food, beverages and complimentary tours available.
